IPA Australia Fellowship
The International Police Association is a non-political association.
We have around 360,000 members in nearly 100 countries, of which 65 are affiliated National Sections, and we are represented on 5 continents. and is designed to create better understanding and friendship between police forces throughout the world.
It is wholly financed by members of the association through membership fees and socials carried out by the regions. The IPA does not solicit donations.
People can share in the community of IPA membership by subscribing to the ever popular Police Down Under Magazine. The magazine is published bi-monthly and can be accessed in PDF form via the ‘social’ tab on this site.
There are other advantages too. Members are able to apply for international study assistance through the Arthur Troop Scholarship fund. Plus, members’ children or grandchildren may be eligible for travel sponsorship through the Ray Dodd Award.
But even without these grants, members can still save money on travel by taking advantage of discount deals and accommodation. Members can also stay at the IPA house in Melbourne or on the Gold Coast.
There is ample opportunity to get to know others with similar interests via the Hobbies Bureau or keep up with social events in a particular region via the web pages for the different states. Whatever the preference, this website offers a central meeting place for information about the IPA Australia community.
